Ancelus blows away the Sybase in-memory performance benchmarks.  Sybase 3X; Ancelus 10,000X
The Sybase in-memory technology is claimed to be 3 times faster than their disk based version.  Ancelus benchmarks eclipse all relational systems in memory, offering 10,000 times improvement in performance and 5 times increase in size.  Check out the benchmarks page for details.

Ancelus is also the only database to provide dynamic schema revisions in a live database.

SAP paid $5.8 billion (about 5 times revenue) for Sybase to get access to this technology and support their "real" real-time strategy.
